Yes – for some treatments, we must. For others, it’s your choice.
As part of the new GPhC guidelines (February 2025), it is now mandatory for online pharmacies to inform a patient’s GP when supplying high-risk treatments — such as weight loss injections (e.g. Mounjaro).
This is to make sure your GP is aware of important treatments that could affect your overall care and safety.
✅ What We Do
When you place your order, you’ll see a screen like this:
We check your details and show you the GP surgery we’ve identified. You just need to confirm it’s the right one.
📨 Then What?
Once your treatment is approved and dispatched, we automatically send a Notification of Treatment Supplied to your GP, like this:
The letter includes:
-
Your prescribed medicine
-
Date of clinical assessment
-
Confirmation that the prescription followed a full review of your health history
This helps your GP update your medical record and stay informed about your ongoing treatment.
💡 Why Does It Matter?
Sharing this information:
-
Keeps your medical record complete and up-to-date
-
Helps your GP spot any interactions or risks
-
Supports better continuity of care across providers
