Short Answer
Once your GP sends your prescription electronically, we receive it, check it, dispense your medication, and send it out for delivery. You'll receive notifications at each stage.
The Process Step by Step
- Prescription received — we get your prescription from your GP via the NHS Electronic Prescription Service. You'll receive a "Prescription Received" notification.
- Clinical check — our pharmacist reviews your prescription to make sure everything is safe and correct.
- Dispensing — we prepare your medication.
- Dispatch — your order is packed and sent. You'll receive a "Your Order Has Been Shipped" notification with tracking details.
- Delivery — Royal Mail delivers to your registered address, usually the next working day.
What If There's a Problem?
- Prescription on hold — if we need more information (e.g. clarification from your GP), we'll contact you
- Out of stock — if a medication is temporarily unavailable, we'll let you know and arrange an alternative or wait for stock
- Payment needed — if an NHS prescription charge applies, we'll send you a payment link before dispensing
